Big-Time College Football Analyst Takes A Shot At Ohio State’s Great Atmosphere
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

College football is one of the greatest sports, and much of that has to do with all the traditions and venues the teams play in.

College Football Stadiums Are Special

College football stadiums bring a unique experience that no other stadiums bring in different sports. When you turn your television on every Saturday in the fall, you see 50,000 to 100,000 people wearing the same color, singing their school fight song, mascots running on the field, and marching bands marching around. Every fan thinks their environment is the best. Still, a college football analyst who has been to many of these stadiums around the United States put his list together and has Ohio State in an interesting place.

The Big Ten Is Adding Four New Teams This Year

The Big Ten is adding four new teams from the Pac-12 in 2024: Oregon, USC, Washington, and UCLA. Oregon and Washington are known for having some of the best environments in college football, and Ohio State might have to take a back seat to them in the Big Ten.

Joel Klatt Has Ohio State Ranked Third

Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt released his ranking of the five best environments in the Big Ten, and he ranked Ohio State third, right behind Penn State at number one and newcomer Oregon at number two.

There is no question that Penn State is the best environment in the Big Ten, and it’s all because of the white-out for primetime games; the Buckeyes do have a case to be ranked at number two behind them, but most Ohio State fans don’t get crazy and couldn’t even care about 75% of the games at home every year besides one or two so some of those Saturday’s in the fall sound like a golf match.
